Nina

Nina turned 3 this month! She doesn't like cake (there was an incident with George's birthday cake) so for her actual birthday we had birthday pizza instead - and with a face that happy who could argue. For her birthday we had the family over and a "bombe" instead - made with raspberry, pineapple and lime sherbet layered to make a watermelon. Perfect for a day that was about 108 degrees.

She has also started school - she goes twice a week and LOVES it. As many of you know she is not the biggest talker in the world. In fact she really didn't talk at all. She communicated fairly well non-verbally, but almost no vocabulary. Going to school has changed all that and she can't get enough now. She is constantly having us go through books, not to read, but to tell her the name of EVERYTHING in the pictures until she can say them all. She still has trouble with pronunciation, and in fact has a British accent, but she'll get there. It's amazing to see the difference in her in just the last 2 months.
